Communitree!: Preparing for market day!

Communitree! is the idea of community members coming together and sharing their skills, talents and creativity for a common purpose. It is an evolving concept, valuing transparency, respect of individuality and responsible pro-action. Communitree provides a nurturing environment in which the unfurling potential of each individual can reveal themselves in a celebration of creativity.

Communitree began in June 09 in Muizenberg Village

We held a market day, Afro-Eclectic dinner and Art Auction in August 09 and a second street festival in Oct 09 as part of the 350.org drive for climate awareness.

On the 12th of September we organised the Muizenberg Village Street Festival! What a fantastic day, so many smiles! There really isn't anything better than dancing on the street!

The most recent festival held on the 12th of December 2010, saw a fantastic sunny day of summer celebration and an abundance of tastes, sights, peoples, cultures, creations and fun!

We have developed the Postcard Project in 2011 and 2012.

We are suggesting an all-over Muizenberg Festival to align with World Design Capital 2014. The Muizenberg community creates a festival that showcases what's happening in Muizenberg.
