Muizenberg Village Street Festival, 12 september 2010!

Muizenberg Village Street Festival
Sunday 12th September 2010
10am – 5pm

The Muizenberg Village Street festival is a celebration of living, creating,
working, surfing, dancing, visiting and collaborating in Muizenberg. It is a selfcreated
festival that draws on the collective skills, talents and input from
community members to make it happen.

Sunday the 12th of September is the day, 10am -5pm around Palmer Rd,
Muizenberg village. You are invited to bring along friends and family and
enjoy a day of musical performance, dance, creative workshops, kiddies
activities, film screenings, art exhibits, live mural painting, food and market
stalls and much, much more. Sample what the village has to offer through its
businesses, restaurants, pub, live music venue, general spirit and love for
life.

The process of organizing and brainstorming ideas for the festival has been
an excellent opportunity for people to work together, put aside differences
and be creative for a common vision.

The festival has 3 themes:
Creativity, Eco-Awareness and Community: participants are free to explore
these themes as aspects of being in Muizenberg. The aim is to allow for the
festival to draw attention to these themes and express/ celebrate them. In
doing so we strengthen and grow a more creatively sustainable community.

Join us for a day of celebration and awareness for that which is inspiring
individuals, groups and organizations to keep doing what they Love.

Parking at the Muizenberg pavilion or in the Checkers parking lot, then follow
the signs to the festival. If you have any ideas or input please get in touch.
